After graduating high school, Saraumi joined Oshima stable and made his professional debut in March 1983 under the shikona "Akiasahi" (安芸旭). He reached jonidan in January 1984, however, he was never able to overcome the division. However, after that he suffered many injuries such as cervical spine injuries and wrestled mainly in jonokuchi and lower jonidan. He was known for his chankonabe which was well received by many guests at Oshima stable.

The restaurant closed in September 2010 and he went on to work for chanko restaurant "Rikishi Ryouriizakaya Kinnabe" (力士料理金鍋) in Tsu, Mie.
Fighting Style[]
Akiasahi was a yotsu-sumo wrestler who prefers grappling to pushing and thrusting techniques. He won most of his bouts with yorikiri (force out) and uwatenage (overarm throw).
