Akitsukaze Otoemon - 秋津風 音右エ門 (born 1800 - January 4, 1838) was a Japanese professional sumo wrestler from Hashikami, Aomori. He made his debut in October 1818 and wrestled for Yotsugamine stable. He reached the makuuchi division in October 1821. His highest rank was ozeki and he retired in January 1835.

Career[]

Akedo Denzo was born in the village of Hashikami in Aomori prefecture and he joined Yotsugamine stable in 1818. He made his professional debut at the juryo division in October 1818 under the shikona "Chitosegawa Otomatsu" (千年川 音松). He reached makuuchi in October 1821 and was promoted to sekiwake in October 1824. In October 1825 he was given the shikona "Tetsuoiyama Keikichi" (鉄生山 珪吉) before switching to "Akitsukaze" (秋津風) in October 1828. He was promoted to ozeki in November 1834, but sat out in his ozeki debut and was demoted after just one tournament ranked as ozeki. He retired in the following January 1835 tournament.
