Anhibiki Kaoto - 安響 力響 (born November 25, 2005) is a Japanese professional sumo wrestler from Tsugaru, Aomori. He made his debut in November 2023 and currently wrestles for Ajigawa stable. His highest rank as of 2025 is makushita 45.
Early Life[]
Kaoto Hasegawa was born on November 25, 2005, in Tsugaru, Aomori, Japan. He attended Goshogawara Agriculture and Forestry High School and was a member of the school's sumo club. During his third year, he finished third in the National High School Sumo Championship. Due to this performance he caught the attention of Ajigawa Oyakata (former sekiwake Aminishiki), who is also from Aomori prefecture, and was then recruited into Ajigawa stable. Due to placing in the top 4 at the National High School Sumo Championship, he was allowed to make his debut at the bottom of sandanme through a system called sandanme tsukedashi. However, Hasegawa surprisingly rejected the offer and insisted on taking the traditional route and starting all the down in jonokuchi as he could gradually build his body and improve his strength. It is believed that he is the first wrestler to reject any tsukedashi offer.[1]
Career[]
He made his professional debut in November 2023 and was given the shikona "Anhibiki" (安響). In January 2024, Anhibiki won all seven of his matches, including against fellow debutant Kyokukaiyu from Mongolia, who had defeated him in maezumo. He subsequently secured the jonokuchi yusho, directly after stablemate Aonishiki had won the same yusho the tournament prior.[2]
Fighting Style[]

Anhibiki is proficient in both yotsu-sumo (grappling) and oshi-sumo (pushing and thrusting) techniques. His most common technique is yorikiri (force out).[3]
