Bontensho Yuki - 凡天勝 祐樹 (born July 12, 1980) is a former Mongolian professional sumo wrestler. He made his debut in January 2001 and last wrestled for Magaki stable. His highest rank was jonidan 25 and he retired in January 2003.

Career[]

20 year old Naidan Bayarhu joined Magaki stable alongside Ganbat Batzaya (Daitenzan) in January 2001 and was given the shikona "Bontensho" (凡天勝). He produced three consecutive winning records from his debut and gradually rose up the jonidan rankings. In January 2002, he was promoted to a career-best jonidan 25, however, he pulled out of the tournament on the 6th day. He continued to sit out of the following tournaments and eventually fell off the banzuke. After sitting out of seven straight tournaments, his retirement was announced after the January 2003 tournament.

Fighting Style[]

Bontensho was a yotsu-sumo wrestler who prefers grappling to pushing and thrusting techniques. He won over half of his bouts with a straightforward yorikiri, or force out. He was also fond of employing shitatenage, or underarm throw.
