Ozeki Raiden was the stable's top wrestler

Chiganoura stable (千賀ノ浦部屋, Chiganoura-beya) was a stable of sumo wrestlers which was established in the Edo period and was shut down in January 1943.

History[]

The stable was established sometime in the Edo period and it was popular during the meiji period as it was home to ozeki Raiden and the first Takasago. The stable closed down in December 1927 with all wrestlers transferring to Dewanoumi stable. The stable was temporarily revived in May 1941 by former sekiwake Hatasegawa, but it closed shortly after in January 1943 with all personnel transfering to Isegahama stable.
