Chisatoiwa Nagayoshi - 千里岩 永吉 (born August 17, 1937) is a former Japanese professional sumo wrestler from Osaka City, Osaka. He made his debut in January 1959 and wrestled for Tatsunami stable. His highest rank was makushita 5 and he retired in January 1964.

Early Life[]

Nagayoshi Yamamura was born on August 17, 1937, in Osaka City's Miyakojima ward. He attended Kansai University where he was a member of the school's sumo club. He was later recruited into Tatsunami stable and became only the second wrestler from Kansai University to turn pro.

Career[]

Yamamura made his professional debut in January 1959 and won the jonokuchi yusho with a perfect 8-0 record in his first official tournament in March 1959. He was promoted to sandanme in July 1959 and makushita in May 1960. He reached a career-best makushita 5 in March 1962, but could only manage a 3-4 record. In July 1962, he was given the shikona "Chisatoiwa" (千里岩). He retired from sumo in January 1964 after five years in the sport.
