Enshunada Yuji - 遠州洋 悠仁 (born April 29, 1992) is a former Japanese professional sumo wrestler from Iwata, Shizuoka. He made his debut in March 2008 and wrestled for Kitanoumi stable. His highest rank was sandanme 49 and he retired in November 2014.
Early Life[]
Suzuki began sumo wrestling from an early age and he participated in the national elementary school sumo tournament during his sixth year. He then attended Iwata Shiritsu Fukude Junior High School which did not have a sumo club, so he joined the judo club instead. He participated in the 38th National Junior High School Judo Tournament held in August 2007. After graduating junior high school, he joined Kitanoumi stable. He was below the minimum height requirement of 173 cm but was allowed to make his debut after passing a secondary physical exam.
Career[]
He made his professional debut in March 2008 and was given the shikona "Enshunada" (遠州洋). Enshunada missed the November 2008 tournament and continued to sit out of the following tournaments which caused him to fall completely off the banzuke. He returned to sumo in November 2009 and had to redo maezumo (pre-sumo). In May 2010, Enshunada won his first six matches, but missed out on the jonidan yusho after losing his final match to Saishin. He reached the sandanme division in September 2010, but struggled to establish himself in the division.
In November 2012, he won his first six matches, but missed out on the jonidan yusho again after losing to Daijo in his final match. On the 5th day of the July 2013 tournament, Enshunada ruptured his left knee's anterior cruciate ligament and he subsequently missed the following four tournaments and fell off the banzuke again for the second time. He returned to action in May 2014 and had to fight in maezumo (pre-sumo) for the third time. He retired shortly after in November 2014.

- Enshunada currently operates a YouTube channel called "チャン・エドモンド" which as of 2022 has over 18,000 subscribers.
- Enshunada is of Filipino descent through his mother's side with also Spanish and Mexican ancestry.
- Enshunada peaked at around 172 kg (379 lb) during his sumo career but after sumo, his weight has increased to 220 kg (485 lb).

Enshunada was proficient in both yotsu-sumo (grappling) and oshi-sumo (pushing and thrusting) techniques. His most often used winning kimarite was oshidashi (push out), followed by yorikiri (force out).
