Up until junior high school, Valles practiced judo and even won a district tournament. In 2016, his father called Shikihide stable and asked if his son could join the stable due to his son's love for the sport. Career[]

He made his professional debut in March 2016 and was given the shikona "Furanshisu" (冨蘭志壽), which is meant to sound like his name Francis. Initially, he struggled in jonidan, but after a stellar 6-1 record in July 2017, he earned promotion to the sandanme division for the following tournament. He could only produce two wins in his sandanme debut and was regulated back down to jonidan. He remained in jonidan for the next two years where he produced mixed results. He was promoted back to sandanme in September 2019, but was demoted back down to jonidan for one tournament. He returned to sandanme in January 2020 and has mainly remained in the division.
