History[]

Futagoyama stable was established on April 1, 2018 by former ozeki Miyabiyama, who branched off from Fujishima stable. Futagoyama Oyakata took six low ranked rikishi with him when the stable was established. In 2018, Futagoyama stable recruited Russian-Mongolian, Roga, who was a former high school yokozuna.

In November 2022, Roga became the first sekitori of the stable, reaching the juryo division. And exactly a year since his juryo debut, Futagoyama stable gained its first top division wrestler, with the promotion of Roga to the Makuuchi division.

The stable also houses Uri, which is the stable’s cat.

Ring Name Conventions[]

Many wrestlers at this stable have taken ring names or shikona that end with the character 雅 (read as: 'ga' or 'miyabi'), in deference to their head coach Miyabiyama. Examples include Roga, Wakamiyabi and Keiga.
