Hidenofuji Yukimi - 秀の富士 雪美 (born March 24, 1983) is a former Japanese professional sumo wrestler from Tokushima City, Tokushima. He made his debut in January 2005 and last wrestled for Kasugayama stable. His highest rank was makushita 26 and he retired in November 2010.
Early Life[]
Hidefumi Nakamura was born on March 24, 1983, in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture. After high school, he enrolled at Ritsumeikan University where he studied law and was a member of the school's sumo club. He later took a leave of absence from Ritsumeikan University to join Kasugayama stable.
Career[]
He made his professional debut in January 2005 and was given the shikona "Hidenofuji" (秀の富士). In July 2005, he finished with a perfect 7-0 record, but missed out on the jonidan yusho after losing to Ikioi and Nakanishi in the playoffs. Nevertheless, he was promoted to sandanme for the following September 2005 tournament. He reached the makushita division in July 2007 and his highest rank was makushita 26 which he achieved in November 2008. He retired from sumo in November 2010.
Fighting Style[]
Hidenofuji was a yotsu-sumo wrestler who prefers grappling to pushing and thrusting techniques. His most common kimarite was yorikiri (force out) followed by shitatenage (underarm throw).
