Hideo - 秀男 (born December 28, 1949) is a former Japanese professional sumo usher from Shimoda, Shizuoka. He debuted in the March 1969 tournament and last belonged to Asahiyama stable. He reached the Makuuchi rank in January 1996 and the sanyaku rank in May 2002. He was promoted to deputy chief yobidashi in May 2003 and to chief yobidashi in January 2008. He retired in November 2014.

- January 2008 - Promoted to chief yobidashi
- May 2011 - Transferred to Asahiyama stable due to the closure of Kiriyama stable
- November 2014 - Announced his retirement after the November 2014 tournament
