Kabutoyama-Oyakata: founder of the Kabutoyama stable

Kabutoyama stable (甲山部屋, Kabutoyama-beya) was a stable of sumo wrestlers, part of the Tokitsukaze ichimon or group of stables. It was set up in May 1989 by the former maegashira Daiyu, who branched out from Izutsu stable. The stable closed in December 2002, with its personnel moving to Minato stable.

Kabutoyama stable was established by the former maegashira Daiyu, who branched off from Izutsu stable. Kabutoyama struggled to recruit rikishi and the stable never produced any sekitori, with their highest ranker being makushita regular, Kabutonishiki. The stable closed in December 2002, with its personnel moving to Minato stable.
