Katsunoura stable (勝ノ浦部屋, Katsunoura-beya) was a stable of sumo wrestlers which was established in the Edo period and was shut down in December 1926 with all personnel transferring to Tokitsukaze stable.
History[]
The stable was established sometime during the late 18th century. The stable was home to ozeki Arimayama who was an ozeki during the 1820s. In May 1916, maegashira Takinooto took over the stable, however, it closed down in December 1926 with all personell transferring to Tokitsukaze stable.
