Retirement from Sumo[]
After retiring, he remained in the Sumo Association as an elder under the name Kabutoyama. He worked as a coach for Tokitsukaze stable before establishing Kabutoyama stable in November 1946. The stable closed shortly after in May 1947 and he returned to his coaching duties at Tokitsukaze stable.
Fighting Style[]
