Early Life[]
Pascual Justine France was born on September 20, 2004, in the town of Capas in Tarlac Province, Philippines.[1] He moved to Japan at an early age and settled in Kawasaki, Kanagawa. France started sumo wrestling in elementary school and was a member of the sumo club at Kawanakajima Junior High School. At Mukainooka Technical High School, he helped his team reach the top 16 at the Inter-High School Sumo Championship, and he also made it to the top 8 in the 115 kg weight class at the Kanto Tournament.[2] After high school, he joined Futagoyama stable.
Career[]
He made his professional debut in March 2023 and was given the shikona "Kuwae" (桑江). He uses Kawasaki, Kanagawa, as his birthplace instead of the Philippines so he is not counted as a foreign wrestler. He finished his first three tournaments with a 5-2 record and was promoted to sandanme in November 2023 where he finished with a 3-4 record, his first career make-koshi.[3]
Fighting Style[]
