Maenoumi Takeo - 前乃湖 健雄 (born November 25, 1970) is a former Taiwanese professional sumo wrestler from Yunlin County. He made his debut in January 1989 and wrestled for Takadagawa stable. His highest rank was sandanme 36 and he retired in January 1991.

Career[]

Jiancheng Liao of Yunlin County, Taiwan, joined Takadagawa stable in January 1989, alongside fellow Taiwanese Lirong Chen (Tatsunohana). The stable was already home to three other Taiwanese sumo wrestlers. He was given the shikona "Maenoumi" (前乃湖). In his first professional tournament he produced a winning record of 4-3 and as a result was promoted to jonidan. In his jonidan debut, he won all seven matches but lost the playoff to Toyomusashi for the yusho. Throughout the next two years he gradually rose up the ranks and was promoted to a career-high sandanme 36 in November 1990. However, he sat out of this tournament and also the following tournament. His retirement was announced after the January 1991 tournament.
