Early Life[]

Satoshi Kamada was born on May 15, 1984, in Usa, Oita. After graduating from Usa High School of Industry and Science, he enrolled at Daito Bunka University where he was a member of the school's sumo club. He later dropped out after one year and joined Musashigawa stable which was already home to fellow Daito Bunka alumnus Bushuyama.

Career[]

He made his professional debut in March 2004 and was given the shikona "Ogurayama" (小倉山). He reached the sandanme division in May 2005, but was unable to establish himself in the division. He wrestled mainly in the jonidan division and was only ranked in sandanme for two tournaments. In March 2006, he defeated Sadanokuni with the rare ipponzeoi (one-armed shoulder throw) move. He retired from sumo in July 2006 after only two years in sumo with his highest rank being sandanme 95.

Fighting Style[]

Ogurayama was an oshi-sumo wrestler who prefers pushing and thrusting techniques to fighting on the mawashi. His most common kimarite used was a straightforward oshidashi, or push out.
